Simple and easy crochet hat pattern - step by step

Very simple and beautiful 

You will need:

Cotton yarn (I use white)

3 mm hook

Bow for decoration  

Abbreviations

st(s) - stitch (es)

ch - chain

sl st - slip stitch

dc - double crochet

hdc - half double crochet

Size: 74 cm - 9 month

Make magic ring

9 hdc into ring, mark (I like to use a peace of yarn for marking when i am crocheting hats but you can use marker if you like)

Remember do not connect rounds because it will make the ugly line

2 hdc into same st, repeat around, mark

Hdc into next st, 2 hdc into next st, repeat 2 rounds, mark

Hdc into next 2 st(s), 2 hdc into next st, repeat around, mark

Hdc into next 4 st(s), 2 hdc into next st, repeat around, mark

Hdc into next 6 st(s), 2 hdc into next st, repeat around, mark

Hdc into next 8 st(s), 2 hdc into next st, repeat until you have ~90 st(s) (mark each round to be able to count st(s) )

When you have ~90 st(s) - hdc into next 90 st(s) (repeat 6 rounds)

2 sl st into next 2 st(s), chain 2

Hdc into next st, chain 1. 

2 hdc into next 2 st(s), chain 1, repeat around (2 hdc into same st every 5th of 2 hdc)

Recommendation - connect rounds like on dress pattern I posted earlier

Chain 3, 2 hdc into space, chain 1 (repeat until hat height is 17 cm - top of crown to bottom of ear)

Last round

3 dc into next space, sl st into next st (top of 2 hdc) (repeat around)

Sew bow or other decoration and hat is ready :)

End of round 1 - sl st into top of chain 2 st

Chain 3. 

2 hdc into next space, chain 1 (repeat 19 rounds) 

End of round - hdc into last space of the round 2, sl st into chain 3 space ( remember to connect rounds like 2 previous steps)

Bottom of dress (turn your work up side down)

2 hdc into next 99 st(s) 

Chain 2, hdc into next st. Chain 1, hdc into next 2 st(s) (repeat around) End of round 1 - sl st into top of chain 2 st

Chain 3. 

2 hdc into next space, chain 1 (repeat 30 rounds) End of round - hdc into last space of the round 2, sl st into chain 3 space ( remember to connect rounds like 2 previous steps)

Last round

3 dc into next space, sl st into next st (top of 2 hdc) (repeat around)

Straps (make 2)

Chain 41. Hdc into 2nd st from hook, chain 1. 

2 hdc into next 2 st(s), chain 1 (repeat entire row) Remember chain 1 always after 2hdc!

Chain 1, sl st into 1st stitch of chain 41

Chain 3

2hdc into next space, chain 1 (repeat entire row) 

3 hdc on the top of rows

2 hdc into space, chain 1 (repeat entire row)

2hdc into last st of row 4, chain 2, hdc into next st, sl st into chain 3 space

Chain 1.

 3dc into space, sl st into next st (top of 2 hdc) (repeat around)

Finishing

Sew the straps (front)

Sew the bows on the top of straps (front)

sew the buttons (rear)

Now you have adjustable straps

Crochet baby dress pattern - step by step

Dress size - 74 cm /9 month 

yarn - cotton

Hook 3,5 mm

 Abbreviations

st(s) - stitch (es)

ch - chain

sl st - slip stitch

dc - double crochet

hdc - half double crochet

Top of dress (hdc into spaces between hdc - repeat 6 rows)

Chain 61

Row 1 - hdc into next 60 st(s)

Row 2 - hdc into next st, 2hdc into same st (repeat the whole row)

Row 3 - hdc (repeat the whole row)

Row 4 - 2hdc into next 2 st(s), 2hdc into same st (repeat the whole row)

Row 5 and 6 - hdc (repeat the whole row)

Insert markers into 17th st from both sides of last row, mark 36 st(s) for front of dress and leave the rest for shoulders

Bottom of dress

Row 1 - hdc until marker, chain 10, connect by hdc into next marker st (repeat)

Row 2 - hdc (repeat the whole row) connect both sides by sl st

Row 3 - dc (repeat around)

Row 4 - change the different color yarn if you want. Chain 3 (in the start of each round. Hdc (repeat around)

Row 5 - Chain 3, skip 2 st(s), 2 dc into same space, chain 1, 2 more dc into same space, chain 1, skip 2 st(s), dc, chain 1 (repeat 5 rounds) Finishing round - sl st into chain 3 space

Ending each round

Row 10 - Chain 3, 3 dc into same space, chain 1, 3 more dc into same space, chain 1, dc on the top of dc, chain 1 (repeat 5 rounds) 

Row 15 - Chain 3, 4 dc into same space, chain 1, 4 more dc into same space, chain 1, dc on the top of dc, chain 1 (repeat 5 rounds) 

Row 20 - Chain 3, 5 dc into same space, chain 1, 5 more dc into same space, chain 1, dc on the top of dc, chain 1 (repeat 5 rounds) Make last round without chain 1 between 5 dc

Top of dress - sleeve

4 dc into same st, skip 1 st, sl st, skip 1 (repeat around)

I made 3 flowers for decoration... 

Ending - sl st into each st around

Buttonhole - chain 10, hdc into 5th st from hook, hdc into next 4 st(s). 

That´s it :) 

My brother is still thinking and telling me that I´m just sitting on my sofa (not doing anything useful - he means) and crocheting lol (unfortunately we live in the same city so he reminds me about it almost every day,haha)
